Mission and Vision of RCCG

As received by the General Overseer (G.O.), Pastor E. A. Adeboye, and communicated to the Headquarters leaders, our vision and mission statement are as follows:

1.     To make heaven.

2.     To take as many people with us.

3.     To have a member of RCCG in every family of all nations.

"The blessing of the LORD, it maketh rich, and he addeth no sorrow with it." Proverbs 10:22. The common understanding of what it means to be blessed by God is that He gives us good things. In this respect, we can say that God’s blessing is on everyone, believers and unbelievers alike. Matthew 5:45 says that the Father who is in the heavens causes His sun to rise on the evil and the good, and sends rain on the just and unjust. A pronouncement of blessing on the life of an individual is evidence of that individual's encounter with God. When God blesses an individual, He is summoning the forces on earth and in heaven to work in favour for that particular individual. To think of God’s blessing as mainly material things severely limits our understanding of what is in God’s heart for us as believers. Again, if we think God’s blessing is mainly of things in the material realm, we’ll pursue these things, spend our prayer time asking God for them, and when we don’t get them, wonder whether we’re blessed by God. This makes us forget more important blessings God gave mankind- Jesus, His only begotten son; the Holy Spirit our Comforter. It is true the very nature of God means He blesses both the Godly and Ungodly, but to access more exclusive blessings one has to be exclusive to God. Psalm 1 describes the blessings for those who delight in God's law; Deut. 28 1- 14 describes blessings reserved for those who listen and obey God's commandments, Isaiah 54: 16- 17 describes blessings reserved for servants of God. These are few examples but the list goes on to describe endless categories of blessings reserved for specific people. What has been reserved for you? Action Point: Father I thank you for the gift of Your Son Jesus Christ. (Gal. 3: 13- 14)
