'Beauty is the battlefield where God and Satan contend with each other for the hearts of men.' Bodily beauty satisfies the eyes and provides immediate gratification, but heavenly beauty requires work.  Moses had to spend 40 days and nights with God for His appearance to change (Exodus 34:35), Jesus had to go up to the mountain of transfiguration, while His disciples slept, to come out dazzling (Matt. 17:1-9), Heavenly beauty needs effort but it lasts longer.
